TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION AND CURRICULUM AREAS

Educational Project "Strengthening the capacities of teachers in the Moquegua region, is a proposal to help improve the quality of education in Moquegua, expressed in significant improvement learning achievements of teachers in education levels, primary and secondary IISS urban and rural areas of the Region through the strengthening of knowledge (ICT-AC), the use of ICT in the curriculum areas .

Technologies Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) have been present in the classroom by more than a decade. One of the main concerns about the effective use of ICT in school education is the preparation of teachers in this field, specifically the transition that they must make use of computers for repetitive practice towards a more integrated approach to regular curriculum.

Teachers are bombarded with the idea that computers should be an integral part of class activities. A key challenge for many teachers is how to use computers in creating innovative learning opportunities for their students. But most teachers do not receive any training on the subject. Some lucky attend to a course on the management of hardware and software, but few are trained to integrate their programs TIC'sa. Specializing in Educational Technology, I have seen that there are four common questions that are not made or not answered, when schools and colleges begin to implement the technology in the training provided.

1 - What is and what is not the integration of technology?
2 - Where, when there is integration?
3 - What are the barriers to integration?
4 - What are the stages in the integration of ICT?

These questions can affect the way how teachers perceive the integration of technology, use computers and accept the changes that occur when technology comes to their classrooms.
